MIS Applications - Troubleshooting

RESOURCE (LMS and Finance)

  • ODBC connections

(odbcad32.exe) R32_LMS - Main DB connection R32_LMSiq - Connects to conduit for reporting (MyEureka!)


  • Zeus

Check that it is up and logged in Check Q:\ is mapped on Workstations (is a visible drive)


  • Enquirer

Check Zeus is up and logged in Check Mondas Radio Server - its a service (batch file on zeus desktop to restart it)


  • System Licensing

Out of licence errors can be dealt with By Jane or Elaine

  • User Password reset

Again, Jane or Elaine can reset user passwords - tell them it is in System Control > System Maintenance > User Maintenance

  • Locks

Jane, or Elaine: System Control > Status


Bromcom / eSchool
  • eSchool web interface

Check server is up and logged in as bromcomuser (pw on wiki level2)

  • RTU's

Check 'FIDAM' is running on eSchool server, if not kill process and it will restart automatically after 2mins Check the comms (Serial) cable is plugged into the DTM (piece of crap on the wall by the aircon) LAST RESORT: Power on and Off Server and DTM Box - if still now call Bromcom useless tech support - 0208 695 8055 pw is seagulls If they need to dial in server needs to be unlocked and logged in, netop must be running (stupid kite/blue icon in sys tray)

  • User Creation/Lockout

Val /(possibly Karen) are trained to setup users and could probably sort any user login issues out.

CIPHR
  • Ciphr Client

Check ODBC and Check Zeus

Rose, Gary or Fran can test the client


CINTRA

Check Zeus, No ODBC needed.

Bev, Nick, Jane or Elaine can test client.
