eGuide is installed on ares and available from the following urls:
Log in as bossman if you would like to administer eGuide - or set up a RBS for it (I have no idea how)
The application, and it's configuration files live in /var/opt/novell/tomcat4/webapps/eGuide - this slimey piece of software likes to do made things and sometimes it's just easier to edit it's configuration files by hand.
IS Support staff should be able to edit any one's information and staff should be able to update their own informaion.
To help clear the back log from the long overdue photo-upload feature of eGuide there's a report which details all staff (well user objects in staff.vsfc) which don't have their photo attribute set. https://is.varndean.ac.uk/reports/users-without-photos.php.
