The Area Prospectus is a search engine used to find courses for students aged 14+. Initially started as a pilot scheme in Brighton, this will go nation wide.
The Area Prospectus is essentially a Google Search Appliance which has been customised, and runs the http://www.coursesearcher.co.uk/ web site.
The seach engine indexes school and college web sites to collate course information, while it is indexing the sites it looks out for special meta tags.
